VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL VANE SEPARATOR

The King Tool Company Vertical or Horizontal Gas Separator offers extremely efficient separation of entrained liquids from the gas stream. The heart of the unit is the unique, high efficiency King Tool Company Vane-Type Mist Extractor.  Of the variousVane Diagram impingement devices for handling the removal of liquid particles from a gas stream, the most commonly used are:  Vane, Wire Mesh Pad, and Centrifugal type.  Although the system designer may have some flexibility in the one he/she chooses, specifying one type over another is result from preference for a particular method, and not always based on analytical assessment of efficiency, or consideration  of reliability.  At King Tool Company however, we take all factors into consideration, like our design engineers did when they first investigated the attributes of each device and discovered the overall benefits of the vane-type mist extractor.   Vessels are normally supplied for high gas flow applications in large sizes and through a wide variety of pressure ranges.

Each King Tool Company Vane Mist Extractor is of all welded construction. Individual traps are welded to the respective vanes. All vanes are positioned by welding to intermediate spacers and the element housing at the top and bottom. Although more expensive, this construction assures that vibration and/or liquid impingement will not bend or move the vanes and thereby alter unit performance.

Many years of testing, plus operating experience, assure that the size of individual vane corrugations, width of traps, depth of traps, and size of unit are optimum for each application. Any variation in these features will have a material affect on unit performance and capacity.
