Utility Gas Wet Filter Separators

KingTool Company UTILITY GAS WET FILTER SEPARATORS are designed to perform a highly efficient job of cleaning a wide range of gases at low flow rates. The Utility Gas Wet Filter Separator not only does an equally efficient filtering job as our dry gas filter separators, but in addition, will take out liquids entrained in the gas stream. Gas is filtered during normal operation by flowing from the outside and passing through the filter elements to their inside surfaces. Solid particles are collected on the outside surface of the replaceable elements. Entrained liquid particles are allowed to flow through the filter element wall where they are coalesced into droplets that form on the inner filter membrane. By sizing the unit to control the inner element velocity, these larger droplets will be re-entrained by the gas stream. Located downstream of the coalescing element is a KingTool Vane Mist Extractor designed to remove these droplets from the gas and direct them into the liquid sump.

A removal efficiency of 99.5% for particle sizes of 1 micron and larger is maintained over the full flow range of 0—100% because this unit does not require high velocity impingement, centrifugal force, electrostatic charge or wetted surfaces to clean the gas. All parts of KingTool units, including Vane Mist Extractors and filter elements, are manufacture by KingTool Company to ensure quality equipment, convenient scheduling, and customer satisfaction.

Utility Gas Dry Filters (Vertical or Horizontal)

The KingTool UTILITY GAS DRY FILTER is recommended to remove solid contaminants from gas streams of small flow rates. In a Utility Gas Dry Filter, gas is cleaned by flowing from outside and passing through to the inside surface of filter elements. Solid particles (dirt, mill scale, slag, etc.) are collected on the outside surfaces of the replaceable filter element leaving the clean gas to flow through the outlet. KingTool Company’s unique concentric circle filter element arrangement in the Utility Gas Dry Filters can accommodate the largest number of filter elements for any given vessel diameter. This highly efficient arrangement means more surface area and depth media, lower pressure drops, and longer run times before element change-out. All parts of KingTool units, including filter elements, are manufacture by KingTool Company to ensure quality equipment, convenient scheduling, and customer satisfaction.
